We are currently in Rio de Janeiro has so much to offer that knowing where to start can be overwhelming! We didn’t have time to do everything we would have liked to do but we really enjoyed it. Rio de Janeiro is amazing!

We are currently in Brazil, our trip continues to South America! We flew from Europe to São Paulo, Brazil’s vibrant financial center and we continue north through Rio de Janeiro, up to Fortaleza. We started the trip in March 2018 and we really enjoyed traveling through the following countries: Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Romania, Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, France, Italy, Slovenia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Brazil.
The next country on our list is: Argentina.
The old center of Rio de Janeiro is different from the beach district of Ipanema and Copacabana, where the streets are filled with merchants and businessmen alike.
One of the most iconic status in the world, the statue of Christo Rendentor, or Christ the Redeemer, sits on top of Corcovado mountain, in the center of Rio de Janeiro.
Trindade is a small town about 25km South from Paraty and it is the perfect hang-out spot for a day. Amazing beaches are aligned one after another …
Paraty is a highly advisable stop on the way. It’s about 6 hours from Sao Paulo, 4 hours from Rio de Janeiro. But most importantly: it is a very very beautiful little city.
Cananeia is the southernmost city in the state of Sao Paulo, on an island between the mainland and a bigger island: Ilha Comprida.
In the south of Sao Paulo, near Registro we were able to visit a local farm of our friend that produces vegetables and fruits.

Sao Paulo is the New-York of South America. With 13 million inhabitants (!), 22 million (!!) if you include the metropolitan area, it is the largest city in South America.
We had decided to spend the last week of our 3,5 months trip in South East Asia in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok. We chose this because Bangkok offers a good transitions between cultures
The Komodo Dragons are reptiles that can be found in the Komodo National Park. The park is comprised of multiple islands such as Komodo Island, Rinca Island and Padar Island.
Lombok is an island West of Bali. It is known for beaches and surfing spots, particularly at Kuta and Banko Banko. The island has been recently been hit by a multitude of earthquakes that devastated the north of the island.
The Gili Islands are 3 small islands located East of Bali, Gili Trawagan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. The islands do not offer any motorized means of transport inside the island, but just carriages with horses and bicycles.
Tulamben is a very small village on the East Coast of Bali, just North from Amed. We arrived in this village for diving but also because it is near Amed, heading for Gili islands.
From Ubud we decided to go towards the East to Tulamben, closed to Amed, where we could go diving. The fastest way to make this road is to follow the South-East coastline.
