The Gili Islands are 3 small islands located East of Bali, Gili Trawagan, Gili Meno and Gili Air. The islands do not offer any motorized means of transport inside the island, but just carriages with horses and bicycles.
From Ubud we decided to go towards the East to Tulamben, closed to Amed, where we could go diving. The fastest way to make this road is to follow the South-East coastline.
Ubud has always been a center of attraction for those who want to experience the balinese culture. It got even more famous after the release of the famous movie “Eat, Pray, Love” in 2010.
While this was Silviu’s first time in Bali, it was my third time here. I never felt in love with Bali, although I enjoyed some parts of it. But I wanted Silviu to experience the buzz behind the mystical Bali before it is too late.
We spent six full days in Yogyakarta, and took the opportunity to have some rest and visit some of the temples in a rather slow paced manner.
Yogyakarta, Jogja or Yogya for the intimate, only has 400K inhabitants… 4 millions if you include its agglomeration. An interesting part of Yogyakarta is that it barely has any high buildings.
